WAY 40th Anniversary Celebration

WAY (Wat Ananda Youth) celebrated its 40th anniversary at a gala dinner on 18 Nov 2007. 500 members and friends came to support WAY that evening. His Excellency, Mr Chalermpol Thanchitt, The Thai Royal Ambassador was also there to grace the event.

The dinner starts-off with a short puja and a blessing session led by the Abbot of Wat Ananda Metyarama Buddhist Temple, Ven Chao Khun. It was followed by a series of performance put up by the junior members. STOMP, our local dynamic performers, put up a lively and exciting performance. There were also a traditional Thai Dance, Guzheng, and a Violin and Keyboard duet performance.

It was also a night where we show our appreciation to the senior members who had contributed tremendously to WAY for the past decades. Venerable Chao Khun gave out tokens of appreciation to these members in recognitions of their past efforts.

The finale was the cake cutting ceremony and members sang Happy Birthday to WAY... deep in most of our hearts, we hope that WAY would continue for more decades and play our little part in the spread of the Dhamma. That's the WAY to go, LIVE THE DHAMMA!!
