Founder's Day and 42nd WAY Anniversary

Two years ago, the youth group in Wat Ananda was renamed from the Ananda Metyarama Buddhist Youth Circle (AMBYC) to the Wat Ananda Youth (WAY).  Today, as we celebrate our 42nd Anniversary, we were reminded that all these would not be possible without Luang Phor Hong, the founder of the temple.

It is timely for us to commemorate the efforts of Luang Phor Hong who played a very vital role in establishing Wat Ananda in 1923. The construction of the temple inevitably paved the way for the formation of the youth group.  On the 56th Anniversary since Luang Phor Hong passing on, WAY decided to hold a joint celebration to commemorate WAY's anniversary together with the Founder's Anniversary which falls on the next day, 10 November.  It's a day for members to express their gratitude to the Founder. During this meaning event, members also invited their parents to join in the celebrations as a form of gratitide to them.  We also extended an invitation to some needy elderly to join in a luncheon.
